NRC also provides technical support to other Nexans units, as well as Modeling/Simulation, Compounding and Analytical service.
Its main missions are:
- to work with the Competence Centers and Engineering Management to develop Nexans' lines of research,
- to develop new materials, processes and technologies to provide innovative concepts for new products,
- to develop products with high added value for Nexans' customers, to help reduce manufacturing costs,
- to develop strong ties with universities and take responsibility for the external research partnerships,
- to ensure the technological watch in Nexans' areas of activity,
- to detect new market opportunities,
- to train technical personnel to prepare the future of the group.
Where is the NRC located?
NRC is located in two sites: Lyon (France) and Nuernberg (Germany). Basic research and studies on cross-linked materials are performed in Lyon, while thermoplastic materials are developed in Nuernberg.
