Application
Nexans ENERGEX® 8000 XHHW-2 has an AA-8000 series aluminum (ACM) conductor with cross-linked polyethylene insulation. The cable is rated at 600 volts and 90ºC for use in wet and dry locations. XHHW-2 can be used in conduit and other raceways for services, feeders and other applications recognized by the NEC 2008 and NEC 2011. Sizes 1/0 AWG and larger (4 AWG and larger in green) are cable tray (CT) rated. Sizes 12 to 4/0 AWG are approved as SIS.
Nexans XHHW-2 is LEAD FREE.
Construction
Conductor:
Compact stranded AA-8000 series aluminum alloy (ACM) per ASTM B801 or B836.
Insulation:
Black, sunlight resistant, cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) meeting the requirements for XHHW-2 per UL 44.
