ENERGEX® PV cables offer exceptional performance, easy installation and long-term reliability for DC connections. These cables have a wet and dry temperature rating of 90°C, are UV resistant, flame-retardant, and are certified as UL type PV.
Application
Nexans ENERGEX® PV/RHH/RHW-2/USE-2 cables may be installed indoors or outdoors, in raceways and conduits, or directly buried. They are 90ºC, 600 V or 2 kV per NEC Articles 310 and 338, and suitable for use in a photovoltaic system per NEC Article 690.
Type PV cables are for use on the DC side of a photovoltaic system, suitable for installation in both wet and dry locations, and may be exposed to sunlight.
Type USE-2 cables are suitable as service entrance cables, which can be installed directly buried in accordance with the NEC.
Type RHH cables are suitable for installation in dry locations.
Type RHW-2 and USE-2 cables are suitable for installation in both wet and dry locations.
Nexans PV/RHH/RHW-2/USE-2 cables are LEAD FREE.
Construction
Conductor:
Stranded bare copper or aluminum (ACM) conductors.
Insulation:
Heat, sunlight, moisture and abrasion resistant cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation per UL 854 and UL 44. Available in black or colors.
