Energy Cables
power line silhouetteHeadquartered in Markham, Ontario, our North America operations began with Energy Cables. From a single product 100 years ago, Nexans now offers a full range of energy cables for utilities and industry as well as commercial and residential applications.

Our facility in Weyburn, Saskatchewan, produces a complete line of utility wire and cable for power transmission, distribution and service entrance from the generating station to residences, businesses and industries. Our facilities in Chester, New York, and Fergus, Ontario, both manufacture cables for the industrial, commercial and residential sectors powering everything from petrochemical plants to the light switches in your home. Logistics for Energy cables are managed by facilities in Milton, Ontario, and Newburgh, New York.

LAN cables in North America, both copper and optical fiber, are manufactured and sold by Berk-Tek, a Nexans Company. Strong demand for LANs by businesses and institutions has supported steady growth of the New Holland, Pennsylvania, facility where our copper LAN cables are manufactured. To capitalize on the need for ever-faster networks, the facility in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina, was opened in 1990 to produce optical fiber cable.

Specialty Cables
For industries with exacting specifications, such as aerospace (airplanes) and shipboard (Naval ships), Nexans produces a wide range of cables in Elm City, North Carolina.
